Young Aglianico from our Piana dei Sassi plot.

The soil is calcareous and very rich in skeleton. The presence of stones, mother rock and particular minerals called hydrothermal crystals formed by concretions of quartz is predominant.

Training system: spurred cordon.

The grapes are harvested by hand in small boxes and arrive in the cellar in a few minutes with a trolley.

A short maceration on the skins follows.

Fermentation is spontaneous thanks to the indigenous yeasts present on the skin of the grapes and in our cellar ecosystem.

The approach to winemaking is natural and the wine obtained is the result of the synergy between the vine, the terroir and the hands of us winemakers.

Grapes ferment in concrete tanks.

Refinement takes place in cement on the fine lees held in suspension with the batonnage technique.

The wine then decants naturally during the winter.

Bottling takes place in the cellar during the full moon.

“We cultivate native and international grapes with love and respect”

We are Morasinsi, young winegrowers in love with nature and viticulture. We make wine from our estate grown grapes with a commitment to traditional techniques whilst focusing on innovative practices througout the vineyard and the winery.

Morasinsi is the fantasy composition of our history. “M” is the “Murgia”, the great mother that acts as a terroir, which welcomes our vineyards and raises them with its unique soil and its warm and dry climate. “Insi” means “insieme” (= together), recalling the ensemble of the various inhabitants of the vineyard ecosystem: the vine that produces
our grapes, the beneficials (bees, bumblebees and ladybugs) thanks to which we defend our plants in a natural way, the spontaneous plants that enrich the soil with natural fertility and give us many ingredients for our traditional dishes, and finally the man who respectfully works within nature.
